I am sorry to say, this book was not my cup of tea. I wanted to like it so much. :(
Interesting concept, solid writing - but I just couldn't connect with the characters.
(Plus, there was that bit of Dalek dissing that was already mentioned by others... that's a no go for someone with a plush Dalek sitting on her desk. :D)

Honestly, after reading the prologue, I didn't want to read this book. It truly put me off.
So I put it away for a time and went on to read something else entirely.
After a while I decided to give it another chance and read the first couple of chapters.
As it turned out, I had been wrong. Most of the book was not what the prologue had led me to believe it would be.
In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by how the story unfolded. In the end I really enjoyed it, finding out more about Dave, Sophia, Tracy and Decker along the way.

Can not be read as a standalone, since pretty much all of the storylines require at least some backstory. There are a lot of interwoven storylines, I have lost count of the POVs, and all of these storylines are pretty dark.

I had high expectations for this one, so I was a bit disappointed.
Somehow I didn't like Ellie much, and Seth seriously creeped me out. Yes, there were explanations (at least for Seth's creepiness), but still...
