First story in either series (Gallagher Girls and Heist Society) I have read, and also my first story by Ally Carter.
It's a very quick and fun read, even though I didn't know anything about either of the series, it still worked. The characters and tehir banter were fun to read, and it worked well as an appetizer for either series. Well played, Ms. Carter! :)

Yay, nerds! I enjoyed this story a lot, especially the author playing with the stereotypes. Plus, the cover is perfectly Rimmel! <3
I really liked the premise of the story, and it started out funny. Unfortunately Daniel behaved like a total jerk through most of the book, he was just not very likeable. I'm not a fan of jerk-y heroes, no matter how chiseled their chins, abs or other body parts.
Like other reviewers, I'd have liked to see Ivy get together with Jack who seemed like the nicer guy of the two. Though, I know, he has a book of his own, which I will read in the hopes that he will not pull a complete 180° and turn into a jerk, too...
I've read and liked other stories by Maggie Dallen, and I have some more on my TBR list, so I'm not giving up just because there was one guy I didn't like much. :)

Third book in the series, but first I have read. It worked mostly well as a standalone, though I did have some problems at first getting the group of friends sorted out. (Was it Mara or Mae now? Which was which again? That kind of stuff...)
I liked the characters, and I liked how the story and the relationship between the hero and heroine developed. Bonus points for Justin not meddling with the artsy stuff, and also for Zoe's circle of girlfriends. And the sunroof. And the cake. ALWAYS the cake. :)
Books #1 and #2 are now on my TBR list. :)

I did get hung up on the horse related details a bit, e.g. Cisco is described as a "brown and white Paint" - by Zoe, who is definitely a non-horsey person. So... is he actually a chestnut paint (since no black in mane or tail etc. is mentioned), or is he a bay or indeed (dark) brown paint? ^^ Or the word 'harness' was used for what I would call a halter. Or Justin would tie the horses' reins (!) to a tree or something - which is a no go for me because of possible injuries. (And yes, I am weird to overthink these things so much. )
Nice little story for readers familiar with the world and the characters. I imagine it wouldn't really work as a standalone - there are too many references to the other books.
I liked that it's being told from Roic's perspective.
