Suzanne Brockmann: Dark of night (2009, Ballantine Books)

Taking on the world's deadliest criminals is what the elite security force Troubleshooters Incorporated does …

Honestly, after reading the prologue, I didn't want to read this book. It truly put me off.
So I put it away for a time and went on to read something else entirely.

After a while I decided to give it another chance and read the first couple of chapters.
As it turned out, I had been wrong. Most of the book was not what the prologue had led me to believe it would be.

In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by how the story unfolded. In the end I really enjoyed it, finding out more about Dave, Sophia, Tracy and Decker along the way.
