Entertaining story with a certain Buffy-like vibe. Looking forward to reading more in the series!

When an AI escapes the lab onto the internet, develops - for lack of a better word - a liking for his human colleague, and tries to play matchmaker... what could possibly go wrong? (Spoiler alert: Probably not what you might expect. At least not what I expected...)
In equal parts hilarious, philosphical, bizarre, heart-warming, and - not to forget - alarming, this story appealed both to my inner geek as well as the eternal romantic.
In some ways, the book reminded me a bit of the Turin Hopper series by Donna Andrews, especially the AIs' musings, their banter among each other and their interactions with the(ir) humans.

When "just one more chapter" turns into "what, midnight already?!"
Funny and adorable chick-lit story, even for such a fashionably-challenged person like me. :)
I loved the characters, especially Micheles extended family (if you know what I mean) and Kira. (Delighted to see that book #2 in the series will be her story!)

I read this right after finishing Made for Me (the first book in the series), since I just couldn't wait to find out how Kira would arrive at her HEA.
I was not disappointed - Kira is a relatable and likeable heroine, and I especially enjoyed getting to know her family.
(I still don't understand why her Mom's Happy Pants would be a problem for Kira, though :) )

I'd been looking forward to this book, because Bob has been one of my favorite characters in the series - and seeing that he is not only on the cover (with his lady, no less), he has also been the one scheming all through books 1-4, I was happy that he'd play a major part in the series finale.
On the other hand I was more than a bit apprehensive, because I know that Rachel Aaron occasionally kills off well-liked or even main characters, so... gulp
As in the other books in the series, it's another team effort to prevent catastrophe, and considering that we're talking about the end of the world, things are looking even bleaker than usual.
Overall, I found it to be a fitting finale.

First story in either series (Gallagher Girls and Heist Society) I have read, and also my first story by Ally Carter.
It's a very quick and fun read, even though I didn't know anything about either of the series, it still worked. The characters and tehir banter were fun to read, and it worked well as an appetizer for either series. Well played, Ms. Carter! :)
