The third book in the Spotless series, and also the third I have read (in quick succession ;) ).
Note: This book does not work as a standalone novel, you'll need a lot of backstory.
What can I say besides just "WOW"?
Crystal Whisperer takes you on one hell of a ride - both in the best and worst possible ways. As always, the characters are superb and it's a million of little details that make them truly come to life.
Also as always, there is plenty of action, geekiness and romance, and many of the characters are already familiar from Spotless and Beating Ruby.
What I liked in particular (besides the obvious), but in no particular order:
- Island's ringtone :D
- the yaycupid-chart
- the yogurt tub (which reminded me of a family vacation in Rome, about 100 years ago)
- the intervention letters <3
- Karl
- …

- the return of Rica and Ramirez (I was starting to miss them)
- ALL the pop culture references (way too many to count, and I'm sure I still missed a whole boatload)
- Mozart's Magic Flute (one of my favourites!)
- Stiles! (not only the Roomba-cattery though that was awesome on its own)
What I didn't like:
The ending. Seriously.
What a whopper of a cliffhanger! You may want to hold off on reading Crystal Whisperer until Butterfly in Amber is available.
