I was pulled in from the first sentence, falling into the rhythm of the prose as if I were drifting into a steady current. If you enjoy emotionally effective prose, a magic system that feels organic without overstating its mechanics, the land of Faerie, or strong connections, you'll find a place in this small but breathtaking story.
So small and perfect. It’s familiar in the structure and the tone of the tale, but the writing is pure and beautiful and a little strange.
I read the physical book, decorated liberally with woodcuts. This book didn’t need to be any bigger or smaller it is a perfect thing.
