A Brutal Takedown

I read the 2019 edition, which includes updated language, introductions, and reflections by academics on the work. This is an absolutely brutal takedown of the genocidal policies of the Canadian government with respect to First Nations and the systematic disregard for their wellbeing over the decades of colonial expansion. Daschuck brings the receipts here, and while now much of what's in this book has become common knowledge it's due in large part to the popularity of this work. Highly recommend
