Hay muchas cosas muy criticables del libro y de la saga en general: Sí, es verdad que cambiar de la corte a la ciudad es bajona; sí, el asunto de los sufijos y prefijos para denotar género y estatus social son un calvario y cada nombre tiene mil variantes con el que no hay manera de aclararse; y sí, los personajes son demasiado buenos y las cosas caen demasiado por su propio pie.

Sin embargo, podría leerme los derroteros interminables de Addison toda mi vida. Me ha pillado el punto y mi punto es la fantasía contemplativa y costumbrista, de pequeños detalles y vidas entrelazadas. Tampoco le hago ascos a los misterios policíacos que mete por en medio. Además, leer sobre gente íntegra y buena que se esfuerza en algo y lo consigue será una fantasía, pero una que necesito muy fuerte.
