The Mercy of Gods

Hard to follow the Expanse, obviously.

I did enjoy the concepts introduced so far. I found it a bit slow and dragged at times. Kinda fine with that assuming we're setting the scene for an entire series.

Else is cool, a glimpse of where the story might be going and we're left wondering about who the hidden allies might be.

I did enjoy the tension / horror but I felt the world was a bit flat. Will definitely continue this series (also is it just me or is there a lack of new space operas these days?)

Started off a bit slow, thinking this is no Expanse and let the first couple of chapters sit for a while, but then it gets going and I cranked through it in a couple of days, even though it's not a short book (it is Expanse-length). And as with the Expanse, I'm hooked on this series now, ready for the next volume.

Most reviews are filled with spoilers, it's good. I cannot wait for the next book.
